Anagram pings the insurance companies when you add a patient. If the insurance company cannot find that patient with the information you entered, Anagram will let you know. We are acting as a middleman.
Common issues when locating a patient and resolutions for each:ย
Plan is Inactive--In these cases, we would recommend having the patient reach out to their employer to find out who their active coverage is through.
Spelling! Could be as simple as the patients name is in the insurers database differently. We would double check the spelling to ensure everything lines up.
Dependent isn't pulling--Make sure you're clicking on 'CONNECT PLAN' from the patients profile and adding their information as a DEPENDENT. That will ensure the correct information is being pulled.
Another common problem we see is that people don't know who their vision plan is with! The patient might not have vision insurance with that insurer. Reach out and confirm coverage with the patient or their employer. That's when we recommend adding UNIVERSAL SEARCH.
