Our latest feature is one that will save you time, increase your claim volume, and improve your sales pitch. A courtesy claim is blank digital claim form that you can file on your patient's behalf allowing you to bypass adding a patient into Anagram and checking their eligibility.

You can submit a courtesy claim for both primary & dependent patients for any of the current insurers we work with today.

Once you submit your courtesy claim , it will appear on your claims detail page.

When should I submit a courtesy claim?

Sometimes you may have a patient that is pressed for time, or simply does not care to check or use their out-of-network benefits. You can offer those patients a customized experience by quickly submitting a courtesy claim on their behalf without having to add them as a patient in Anagram or check their eligibility.

What do I need to know before I file a courtesy claim?

  • Courtesy claims are filed without checking benefits or eligibility

  • Our team cannot check claim status for courtesy claims

  • Courtesy claim filing is a great alternative for patients who are not as concerned with using their benefits.

  • Assigning benefits (AOB) is not available for courtesy claims.

  • Once a courtesy claim has been generated, you cannot edit the claim details or patient information. If mistakes were made, you'll have to cancel the claim and restart your courtesy claim.

Starting a courtesy claim

There are two ways to start a courtesy claim:

From the home page

From the claims page

Filing a courtesy claim

Filing a courtesy claim is nearly identical to a non-courtesy claim. The main difference is that you'll need to fill out the patient or member's information (name, date of birth, etc.) directly on the claim form. Otherwise, ICD and CPT codes, prices, discounts, and the rest are the same.

How do courtesy claims benefit my practice?

  1. Increase your customer retention rate by filing a digital claim on your customer's behalf if they have a vision plan. Your customers will be delighted to know that you're handling the arduous paperwork on their behalf.

  2. Avoid discussing complex insurance plans with new patients; set yourself apart from other practices by offering them a flawless patient experience by filing their claim on their behalf.

  3. Service your patients faster and reduce the administrative workload for everyone in your office.
